Meulenhof 2024 CabiNett, Piesporter Riesling Kabinett
This new Kabinett, with its whimsical label, hails from the Freudenberg, a wind-and-forest cooled vineyard at the very top of the Goldtröpfchen that is perfectly apt for the production of the classic Mosel style. Especially in an old-time vintage like 2024, its modest 30 gm. of r.s. make this wine seem like a throwback to the old days.

Notes from the Producer: The grapes for this wine come from a really special place in Piesport. The vineyard, Piesporter Freudenburg (which is not an officially registered vineyard site), is located high in the mountains, at an elevation of over 300 meters above sea level. Surrounded by forest, it faces south and has bright yellow slate soils.
The forest protects the vineyard and helps supply it with water.
