Other Wine Facts | That is the mission for Claus Burmeister, winegrower at Weingut Heitlinger in the Baden town of Tiefenbach. Drawing on his own deep Kraichgau roots, Burmeister and his team translate local winegrowing traditions into a tangible taste of all that makes this region magical. As in Burgundy, calcareous hills arose here millions of years ago in radically close proximity, and today offer ideal conditions for white and red Pinot-family vines as well as juicy. |
Primary Vineyard Name | CARRYING THE BIRTHPLACE OF WINE ON THE PALATE - this is how the team from the Heitlinger Winery sums up the philosophy at the Heitlinger Winery in Tiefenbach, Baden. As in Burgundy, the chalky hills formed millions of years ago in a very confined space offer ideal conditions for white and red Burgundy vines and produce an independent, juicy Riesling. Vibrant vineyards with flora and fauna, strict manual harvesting, short distances and modern cellar technology - ecologically certified work and biodynamic teachings merge in an exemplary manner with the highest striving for quality and contemporary craftsmanship. |

Notes from the Producer: The grapes come from young, organically cultivated vineyards in prime locations. Significantly reduced use of wood, slight reduction, a taut and drinkable acidity and a surprisingly dense structure for the youthfulness of the vines guarantee a perfect addition to the Heitlinger range. Placed just below the GGs, they represent a distinctive and very individual style.
Characteristic Aromas of strawberries, wild berries, plums, fruity soft, spicy minerality, nuances of coffee and chocolate.
