Antonio Madeira 2019 "A Liberdade" Branco
For a wine that is both unsulphured (but for a touch at bottling) and unfiltered, this wine is strikingly pale and pure. The oak aging is done with the lightest touch, and yet this wine evokes burgundy in an uncanny way, with its sleek, sweet fruit, pronounced acidity and sense of leesy potency. A marvellous advertisement for Dão.
