Christophe Pichon 2021 'Beryl', Hermitage Rouge
With the acquisition of 0.75 hectares in Hermitage, Pichon now has holdings in all the principal appellations of the northern Rhône, plus their plots in Seyssuel, which will surely soon be recognized universally as another significant cru. In the transparent 2021 vintage, Beryl offers a soaring violet perfume and the characteristically firm structure of a wine which has to be built for the long haul if it is to be faithful to its type.
