Pateromichelakis 2022 Romeiko
Romeiko is one of the oldest known grape varieties and is intimately associated with Kissamos, the home village of Pateromichelakis. It ripens late - which enables it to benefit from cooler autumn conditions at harvest time – and unevenly, giving it a tendency to mix red, pink and even green grapes in the same loosely formed bunches. However, grown with care, and, in particular, restricted in its yields, it can proffer an entirely captivating and delicious red wine like this. The big grapy nose leads to a mid-weight palate replete with black fruits and spices.
