Alain Geoffroy 2024 Chablis 1er Cru Beauroy Vieilles Vignes
Geoffroy are the largest proprietors in this Premier Cru, a site with real grandeur and a privileged old vine plot. When frost hit in 2024, they chose to save this vineyard, lighting smudge pots at €3,000 to 4,000 a day. It was worth the effort: with 18 months of élevage in equal parts stainless steel and oak, this bottling is on point, floral and flinty, with breathtaking complexity.
