Fausto was the founder of Bageiras and Mário Sérgio’s grandfather. He liked his wines with a lighter, more elegant touch, as exemplified by this homage. Baga inevitably dominates, but the combination of lighter soils, whole-bunch co-fermentation with Touriga Nacional and aging in used burgundy barriques gives rise to a stylish yet unmistakable Bairrada wine, with just 12.5% alcohol. Unfined and unfiltered.
