Jérôme Coessens N.V. "Les Sens Boisés" Brut [6/750]
It takes a special hand to craft a wine of this slender and nervous quality from a ripe vintage, which 2013 was in these parts, and an élevage in old Chablis Grand Cru barrels. It is not hyperbole to say that followers of Vilmart will find a satisfying echo of that iconic house in this wine. We were honestly surprised and exhilarated by it. Disgorged at the end of 2018.
100% Pinot Noir
Years in Blend
Used Barrique 100%
Aging Duration (months)

Notes from the Producer: From a single vineyard called Largillier; from a single varietal : Pinot Noir and from a single vintage 2009
The soil, the sub soil and even the exposure( kimmeridgian Marl n°2), down to the very last detail, are exactly the same as in the very best areas of Chablis.
