Diebolt-Vallois N.V. Champagne Rose
Isabelle makes 8,000 bottles of this wine every 2 years, and sells it mostly to clients in Asia, but we were able to persuade her to part with some for CA. The colour is imparted by a 10% component of Pinot Noir from a grower friend in Bouzy, added to a base of 2016 and 2017. The style is oriented to fruit and freshness, and sheer deliciousness, compared to the more complex effort of Coessens and Remy. At 3 gm. of dosage it takes advantage of today’s propensities.
