Bio-weingut Schreiner 2021 Weissburgunder (Burgenland) [12/1000]
It took me three years to notice this unassuming wine on Schreiner’s price-list, and they didn’t seem especially eager to show it to me. But I insisted, and could hardly believe what a characterful, nutty and textured wine it is, built on the expected structure of acidity, which, in 2021, brings in its wake an exceptionally lifted aroma. It hardly seems necessary to draw attention to the value proposition here.
