Aldinger 2017 Lemberger

Lemberger, the local name for Blaufränkisch, is Württemberg’s other red calling card, and what a beauty Aldingers make. Fermented for six weeks on the mash, and aged in used barriques, it is simultaneously firm and satiny, with a perfumed sheen and pulsing minerality.

Notes from the Producer: This Lemberger shows a beautiful red color with some purple reflection. On the nose, herbal and fruity notes of green pepper, blackberries and cassis can be found. The elegant acid and the smooth tannine structure contribute to a pleasant mouthfeel.
