Joan Sarda
We were tremendously excited to discover this dynamic Catalan producer based in the famous town of Manresa. Under the leadership of young Ramon Roqueta since 2006, it has achieved great acclaim in Spain and has embarked on a series of acquisitions and refurbishments designed to recreate some of the glory of the long and illustrious past of its forbears, who can trace a family wine history back to 1199. Among the several projects that they run, we were especially drawn to two : LaFou Celler and Joan Sardà.

JOAN SARDÀ is a winery located in Castellví de la Marca, in the Alt Penedès Region (Barcelona). Our wines and cavas are the reflection of a long wine tradition and a respectful commitment to the territory surrounding us, the Penedès, faithfully expressing the virtues of this historically wine-producing territory, its landscape and its more traditional varieties, which provides a unique character to our wines.
Owner History:
The story of the winery began in 1927, with the help of an entrepeneur and visionary Tomàs Sardà; to this day, the Joan Sardà winery continues to preserve the entrepeneurial spirit of its founder.
